Hi Val,

I just tracked you back through your comment on my blog!

Wow, what a fantastic sight and fantastic drawings! I love them!

What I find amusing is you like gardening and I live on a farm in the middle of nowhere in the south downs. We ( my kids and me that is) are trying to live a greener life style. We started growing our own herbs and vegetables and chop our own fire wood. A small start I know in learning to appreciate nature again.

Thanks for your encouraging comments about the pictures.

Ciao for now,

Don

Val, yet another delightful example of your amazing illustrations — and I learned something as well.

I can’t remember if I told you or not: last week in one of my posts I again mentioned your blog … I’m not at my site right now but I _think_ I did it in the Snow Bunting post.

I continue to be blown away like a petal in the wind, at how talented you are. Thanks for such an interesting blog!

Gorgeous as always, my daughter loves the leeks as she has been hooked on potato leek soup lately which is awesome considering she is 5. :)

Hi Val,

It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance! Thanks for the wonderful illustrations and for visiting our blog and leaving a comment.

The temp has fallen to 23 degrees F and we’re having a heavy snowfall. Your conjuring up of the winter garden is definitely timely!

Congratulations on the special award for blog design! You certainly deserve it.

Please visit us again and browse through our archives. You might get a chuckle out of Hedgehog’s and Jim’s shenanigans.

Happy December,
Tim. Sara, and the kids.

We just had 35 cm of snow and 25 to 35 cm coming. This is such a delightful place to land at the end of a long day of digging out.
