We spotted these words 10 miles outside Selma, Alabama…
…and these in a front yard just north of Hattiesburg, Mississsippi:
Finally, I saw these word through a bus window while traveling through south Louisiana one year after Hurricane Katrina:
There’s a kind of poetry here, or maybe it’s visual art. Either way, they pose a compelling argument for taking the back roads instead of the Interstate.
