I’m delighted and honored to offer a botanical drawing workshop through the Museum of Mobile, during their much-anticipated exhibit on the life and work of George Washington Carver. Here are the details:
Draw and paint heirloom flower and vegetable plants using step-by-step scientific illustration techniques in this one-day workshop. No previous experience is necessary. Students will be guided as they develop their powers of observation, learn realistic sketching techniques and explore color mixing in a fun, relaxed and encouraging setting. We will work both indoors and out, using live garden plants and flowers as models. All art supplies are included, and are yours to keep. Pre-registration is required by April 10.
The workshop will be Saturday, April 17, from 9am to 4pm. The cost is $75, which includes all supplies.
