Oakleigh Mansion, a big old antebellum homeplace in Mobile’s historic garden district, was the site of our city’s May 15 SketchCrawl gathering. In between visiting with the 20 other artists who showed up to draw, I managed to get a couple of sketchbook pages filled. Several of us spent the morning on the front lawn, under a big oak tree, happily watercoloring the front view of the house.
