What’s your favorite “studio soundtrack”? I like to draw while listening to my favorite Celtic band, Mithril. Their music — sometimes pensive, sometimes get-up-and-dance exuberant — never fails to refresh and inspire me!
Recently, I had the privilege of creating artwork for the interior sleeve for their new CD, “Along the Road.” Eels in sinks! Wailing banshees! Giant turnips! An illustrator never knows what the day may hold…

Never heard of them until this morning! Saw them mentioned on another friends facebook wall, so I listened. Wow, i can see why you love listening to them in your studio and I’m gonna have to do the same in mine!! And as fabulous as your art is, it goes wonderfully with thier wonderful music!

With all the unexpected events in life, some being challenging to our wish for what we perceive to be stability, art and music in our lives is a constant, and a joy.
I’ll throw my hat in the ring! Isn’t it fun that the group has chosen a Tolkien-based, rather than Celtic name? Or did JRR use a proper Celtic word to name the sword?

We celebrate St. Patrick’s Day a week later (well, two weeks in a row) here in Quebec City. The parade happens tomorrow, in order to share the fun with the big parade in Montreal. What a perfectly timed give-away post! Count me in, though you may want to ship to a U.S. address. 🙂
